Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Heavy Civil) to oversee and manage heavy civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while maintaining safety protocols. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion. • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring adherence to financial and time constraints. • Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies. • Oversee site management activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of resources and services. • Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and team members. • Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions. • Perform cost estimation and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency. • Utilize project management software, including Primavera 6, to monitor project progress and report on outcomes. • Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately and is accessible to the project team. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management. • Proven experience in budget management and cost estimation. • Strong knowledge of risk management and safety management practices. • Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation and stakeholder communication. • Proficiency in project management software, particularly Primavera 6. • Experience with heavy highway and bridge construction projects is preferred. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
