Legal Assistant - Land Use & Real Estate Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support our Land Use and Real Estate department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with various tasks related to land use, real estate transactions, and legal documentation, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities • Assist attorneys with the preparation and review of legal documents related to land use and real estate transactions. • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings for attorneys and clients. • Conduct conflict checks and document results for compliance and record-keeping. • Assist in drafting correspondence, reports, and legal briefs as necessary. • Review billing statements for accuracy and prepare invoices for clients. • Maintain organized files and documentation for easy retrieval and reference. Qualifications • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in Land Use and Real Estate law. • Strong understanding of land use regulations and real estate transactions. • Proficiency in calendaring and scheduling tools. • Excellent drafting and legal writing skills. • Ability to perform billing reviews and maintain accurate financial records. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
