HR Coordinator Position Overview The HR Coordinator will provide day-to-day support for HR and operations functions, ensuring accurate payroll processing, efficient HR administration, and a positive employee experience. This role serves as a central point for onboarding, benefits administration, recruitment coordination, policy compliance, and basic employee relations, helping managers and staff navigate HR processes and systems. Key Responsibilities - Process and coordinate payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely submission and reconciliation (experience with Paylocity a plus). - Support HR operations by maintaining employee records, HRIS data entry and auditing (experience with Navigator or similar systems preferred). - Administer benefits and insurance enrollments, liaise with carriers, and assist employees with benefits questions and 401(k) enrollment. - Coordinate full-cycle onboarding for new hires: prepare new-hire paperwork, conduct orientations, set up system access, and ensure policy acknowledgment. - Assist hiring managers with recruitment activities: job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and reference checks. - Support policy implementation and compliance with employment laws, maintain up-to-date HR documentation and employee handbook sections. - Serve as a first point of contact for routine employee inquiries and support basic conflict resolution and escalation to HR leadership when needed. - Prepare HR reports and analytics for leadership, maintain spreadsheets and documentation using Microsoft Office, and continuously improve HR processes and workflows. - Coordinate training logistics and employee development initiatives, and support special HR projects and audits as assigned. Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in HR, HR operations, or payroll administration (operations, HR, and payroll skills required). - Hands-on experience with payroll systems (Paylocity experience a plus) and HRIS platforms (Navigator or equivalent preferred). - Working knowledge of benefits administration, insurance, and 401(k) plans and enrollment processes. - Familiarity with onboarding, recruitment coordination, interviewing, and employment policies and compliance. - Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information and resolve routine employee conflicts. - Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable preparing reports and maintaining accurate records. - Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. - Nice-to-have skills: Human Resources, Benefits, Onboarding, Recruitment, Conflict Resolution, Policies, Employment, PAYLOCITY, Navigator, Insurance, 401K, Microsoft Office, Interviewing.
