Lead and scale backend services with hands-on development, manage direct reports, and grow technology to meet consumer needs in credit/lending.
7+ years development, 3+ years leadership, TypeScript backend with Node.js, AWS experience, deep knowledge of credit/lending platforms and APIs like Plaid or Galileo, startup experience, and ETL/data engineering knowledge.

We are backed by the same folks behind Chime, Square, Revolut, Step, & Brex and are using their insight to take a radically different approach to traditional credit issuers striving to give a more individualized credit experience for each of our consumers. Our rapidly expanding platform is giving people a chance to use credit responsibly and give them the chance to access other credit options. We are looking to find an execution-focused, hands-on Head of Engineering to join our team and continue to help expand on our back end services while helping our technology grow and scale with our consumer's growing needs. This person will be hands-on 70-80% of the time with a few direct reports. They will need to understand and have direct experience with credit / lending / banking infrastructure and have hands on experience with things like Plaid, Galileo, LoanPro, Astra, or related. What You Need For This Position • Bachelor's Degree in CS or related field • 7+ years of software development experience • 3+ years of leadership experience (this person will have 3 full time direct report and will likely be hiring a few more) • Solid grasp of TypeScript development on modern backend features with Node.JS libraries • Experience building highly scaled software services into AWS • Experience with Lending/Credit platforms (must have substantial knowledge with credit card transaction flow, banking, lending, & things around payments, statements, etc...) • Experience with REST and Swagger preferred • Experience with Plaid, LoanPro, Astra, Galileo, or related loan processing APIs is preferred • Modern relational and non-relational DBMS (MySQL, GraphQL, NoSQL, etc.) • Previous startup experience • Knowledge of ETL pipelines and/or data engineering systems Benefits • Competitive Compensation Package (up to $225k base) • Equity • Remote Work • Flexible Vacation/PTO • Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance and more!
