Field Service Engineer - Machine Tools Location: Orange County, CA & Surrounding Area Salary: $80k-$130k DOE Requirements: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Related Engineering, 3+ yrs exp in Field Service Engineering, Knowledge and experience with Machine Tools/CNC Machines Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer specializing in machine tools to provide on-site technical support, equipment calibration, and maintenance for our clients. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance of CNC machinery and enhance customer satisfaction through efficient service delivery. Key Responsibilities • Provide on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery and machine tools. • Calibrate and troubleshoot equipment to ensure precision performance and compliance with specifications. • Deliver technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance procedures. • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of the machinery. • Assist with the installation and upgrade of equipment, ensuring all systems are operational and meet industry standards. • Document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and calibrations performed. • Collaborate with engineering teams to address complex technical issues and implement solutions. Qualifications • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. • 3+ years experience as a Field Service Engineer, preferably in Machine tools and CNC equipment. • Strong knowledge of CNC machinery, PLC programming, and equipment calibration. • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. • Excellent customer service and communication skills to effectively engage with clients. • Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation. • Familiarity with Fanuc systems and automation solutions is a plus.
