Position Overview: The Senior Estimator is responsible for overseeing and developing cost estimates for electrical systems in construction projects. They will manage and review electrical bid documents in order to accurately estimate project costs and prepare bids. Key Responsibilities: • Examine bid documents, review project plans, and consult with engineers and other staff to accurately assess construction costs • Organize and evaluate electrical system designs and plan materials and labor costs • Compile data from various sources to create cost estimates for projects • Analyze project risk factors and adjust costs accordingly • Prepare bids for project bids and review them for accuracy and completeness • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry trends and best practices • Identify cost saving opportunities and strategies to improve bids • Prepare reports and presentations for clients and senior management Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field • 10+ years of experience in cost estimating, project management, or a related field • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and the construction industry • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Trimble Viewpoint Spectrum Benefits -Base salary up to $180,000/yr, DOE -Medical, dental, vision insurance -Retirement plan -Sick days/Paid time off
