Automation and Controls Engineer Location: Onsite in Frisco, TX Travel: Up 60% both domestically and internationally Salary: $125-150k DOE Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Automation and Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated control systems for various applications. This role requires a strong understanding of PLC programming, HMI development, and system integration to optimize processes and improve efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Design and program automated control systems using PLC, HMI, and SCADA technologies. • Develop and implement control strategies for VFDs and other motor control devices. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation systems and software. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing processes. • Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. • Prepare technical documentation and provide training for operators and maintenance personnel. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field. • Proven experience with PLC programming and HMI design using Beckhoff TwinCat 3 • Familiarity with VFDs, motor control systems, and SCADA. • Experience with facility startup, client presentations, and system installation support. • Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols, including Ethernet. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
