The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with large-scale databases, optimizing queries, and providing actionable insights through data analysis. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with business and technical teams in a fully remote environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views. Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation to support business requirements. Develop and optimize ETL processes for data integration and transformation. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support decision-making. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance and data integrity. Document database structures, processes, and reporting logic. Required Skills & Experience 15+ years of experience as a SQL Developer / Data Analyst. Advanced proficiency in SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, indexing). Strong experience in data modeling, database design, and normalization. Hands-on experience with ETL tools (SSIS or similar). Expertise in reporting and visualization tools (SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle large, complex datasets. Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management. Familiarity with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or similar) is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently in a remote environment. Nice-to-Have Skills Prior experience in State/Federal Government projects. Exposure to Python/R for advanced analytics. Knowledge of big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake).
