Role Description This is a great opportunity to join our prescription entry team while working from home. As a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for: • Accurately and efficiently reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into our system. • Ensuring patients receive their correct prescriptions in a timely manner. • Directing questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification. • Entering complete prescription information once clarification is received. • Meeting specified production and quality standards as defined by the management team. • Offering solutions needed to help enter patient and prescription information into our system. • Faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. • Performing other pharmacy functions as required to support development and maximize workflow. This position is a work from home with training to be completed virtually. Colleagues who live within 75 miles or 1 hour, whichever is less, to the onsite facility may be required to come onsite for training, meetings, system issues, or power/internet outages. Hours vary per state operating hours, shifts are Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays (subject to change). Overtime/extended work weeks will be required when needed. Qualifications • Candidate must reside in the state of Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas. • Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where applicant resides: • Pennsylvania requires proof of license registration in process. • Texas requires an active state technician license AND active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or PTCB). • Florida requires an active state technician license. • Illinois and Arizona require active state technician license AND national certification (must be marked certified on state Illinois license). • Minimum of 3 months related pharmacy technician experience. • Adept at reading and interpreting prescription terminology and medications. • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. • A secure room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic-friendly work area (i.e., desk, chair). • Must have your own internet provider that can support the virtual working environment. • Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 10 feet of your computer and a minimum speed of 25 mbps download and 3 mbps upload. WiFi and satellite are not permitted. • Data Entry experience. • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint). • Strong attention to detail while multitasking through various programs. Preferred Qualifications • Previous mail order or retail pharmacy experience. • Rapid keyboarding skills while maintaining 100% accuracy. • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures. • Able to understand and interpret Latin symbols commonly used on prescriptions medications and able to write routing correspondence. • Recognizing, identifying, and having general knowledge of commonly used generic drugs. • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This includes the ability to calculate dosages and day-supply prescriptions. • Ability to work using computer screens for extended periods of time. • Proficient in troubleshooting computer issues. Education • High school diploma or equivalent. Anticipated Weekly Hours • 40 Time Type • Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $28.46. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
