Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and driven Produce Sales Representative to join our team and spearhead growth across the East Coast region. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to develop new business, manage key accounts, and expand our presence in the produce industry. As a vital link between our company and retail, wholesale, and foodservice clients, you will leverage your sales expertise to build lasting relationships, generate leads, and deliver exceptional customer service. Duties • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand our produce offerings within assigned territories on the East Coast. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, lead generation, and targeted marketing efforts. • Manage existing accounts by providing tailored product solutions, conducting product demos, and upselling where appropriate to maximize revenue. • Conduct regular territory management activities including route planning, customer visits, and market analysis to optimize sales coverage. • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients while maintaining profitability and fostering long-term relationships. • Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress efficiently. • Collaborate with internal teams on marketing initiatives, product launches, and technical sales support to meet client needs effectively. Experience • Proven success in outside sales or B2B sales roles within the Avocado and CItrus industry. • Strong background in territory management, account management, and business development strategies. • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or similar software for lead tracking and customer relationship management. • Demonstrated ability in negotiation, customer service excellence, and closing sales deals. • Familiarity with retail sales environments or foodservice sectors is highly desirable. • Excellent analysis skills for market research, competitor analysis, and sales forecasting. • Prior experience in technical or technology sales related to produce or perishable goods is a plus.
