We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate shipment and receipt of goods. The successful candidate will handle aspects of shipping and receiving, including inventory management, order verification, and proper documentation, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. This role will offer hands-on experience in logistics, providing opportunities to grow within our dynamic organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Material Handling: • Receive, verify, and record incoming shipments of materials, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists. • Safely and efficiently move materials to designated storage or production areas using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts. • Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and coordinating with shipping carriers. Inventory Management: • Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and physical counts. • Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or low-stock situations to the Warehouse Supervisor. Warehouse Organization: • Ensure materials are stored in designated locations and organized for easy access. • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse area by following 5S and OSHA guidelines. Collaboration: • Work closely with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials for assembly operations. • Coordinate with purchasing and quality departments to resolve discrepancies or issues with materials. Safety: • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment. • Inspect equipment regularly and report any maintenance needs. QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics is a plus. • 2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, warehousing, or logistics. • Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems. • Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs. • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including ITAR, is a plus. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed.
