Currie & Brown is a leading global construction consultancy, and they are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to transform complex project, cost, and commercial data into meaningful insights. The role involves developing dashboards, reports, and analytical models to support strategic decision-making across major capital programs. Responsibilities • Utilize expert-level SQL skills to extract and analyze data, generating insights and reports to support decision-making processes • Proficiently manage and maintain the MS SQL database, including optimizing tables, implementing logic, and ensuring data integrity and security, and regularly updating data • Demonstrate competent use of Business Intelligence tools like PowerBI to visualize data and create interactive dashboards and reports for various stakeholders • Utilize Excel expertise to manage and analyze complex datasets, employing VBA for automation where necessary • Supervise and mentor data analysts, improving their methodologies and fostering professional growth • Collaborate with project management to align data analysis efforts with overarching business objectives, effectively communicating the big picture goals and the direction of data-related initiatives • Ensure that existing systems and processes remain up-to-date with the latest industry methods and technologies, driving innovation and efficiency • Develop and present data models in a comprehensible manner to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making • Effectively communicate with international clients, presenting data insights and findings clearly and concisely Skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field • 5+ years of proven expertise in SQL (Expert level) and Business Intelligence tools (Competent) • 5+ years of experience in managing and maintaining MS SQL databases, encompassing table optimization, logic implementation, data integrity, security measures and overall best practices • 5+ years of proficiency in Business Python, Excel (including VBA), and PowerBI • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team of data analysts • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at simplifying and conveying complex data concepts to non-technical audiences • Familiarity with various data analysis methodologies and best practices • A proactive approach to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies • Experience in handling international clients and understanding diverse business needs • Employ Python for data manipulation (ETL), analysis, and automation of processes Company Overview • We deliver certainty, where it matters most Currie & Brown is a world leading project management, cost management and advisory services firm.
