• CURA Strategies is looking for an emerging public affairs professional to join as an Assistant Account Executive, Public Affairs. RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide day-to-day support for grassroots advocacy, public affairs initiatives, and communications campaigns across multiple clients, working closely with account managers and senior team members to execute client activities • Monitor news, hearings, and other developments related to legislative and regulatory activity, particularly on health care and public policy issues relevant to clients • Build and maintain mailing lists of key stakeholders, including congressional staff, third-party organizations, patient advocates, and other influencers, using digital grassroots advocacy platforms (e.g., Quorum, Phone2Action) and standard Microsoft/Google spreadsheet tools • Assist with drafting and editing written materials such as statements, issue or policy briefs, talking points, fact sheets, legislative support letters, and internal summaries • Support in-person and virtual meetings by assisting with scheduling and logistics, preparing agendas, taking notes, and drafting follow-up correspondence • Conduct research to support the development of strategic communications and public affairs plans, including identifying key stakeholders, summarizing policy issues, and contributing creative ideas • Assist with outreach and correspondence to external audiences, including third-party organizations, media, health care professionals, and policymakers • Support communications activities as needed, including drafting social media content, assisting with bylines and press materials, and helping with media lists and reporter research • Provide general administrative and team support, including assisting with internal initiatives and activities that contribute to CURA’s culture and collaborative environment QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree required (or expected within a defined timeframe) • Interest in public affairs, government relations, health care policy, or strategic communications • Basic understanding of the legislative and regulatory process, or a strong desire to learn • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills, with attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, client-service environment • Proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn from and support senior team members • Familiarity with digital advocacy tools (e.g., Quorum, Phone2Action), social media platforms, or relevant internships/coursework is a plus but not required Why Join CURA? • Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment dedicated to transforming health care. • Enjoy a flexible work-life balance with opportunities for career growth. • Be part of a team that values courage, positivity and hard work.
