DESCRIPTION We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Miami Lakes, FL In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: • Completing repair activities on generators or components • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools • Maintain detailed records of service • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products • Maintain own tools RESPONSIBILITIES In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities. • High Voltage / Low Voltage experience. • Advanced experience with electrical repair and maintenance • Proficient Diesel Engine experience. • Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components. • Setup, troubleshoot and repair basic paralleling generator systems. • Understanding switchgear schematics. • Ability to train Entry/Intermediate Technicians/Mechanics. Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. QUALIFICATIONS DOT • A current valid CDL is required for this role. • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations • This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and on going random drug and alcohol testing • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use • Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age Job Service Organization Cummins Inc.
