Full Description

Job Description: • Take an active role and participation as a CIAT student ambassador to participate in virtual events including new student orientation, certification workshops, and career services workshops • Assist with student assignment, lab, and certification support through: Hosting individual and small group live, virtual support sessions • Testing and contributing to lab documentation • Virtual support for students needing assistance with PC Build Kit labs, networking labs, Amazon and Azure labs, and coding labs (lab assignments per student coordinator will vary based on coursework and/or certifications earned) • Assist with CIAT website development initiatives including: Website UI/UX, browser, device compatibility, and navigation testing • Student portal and pilot project testing • Assist with Career Services tasks including: Reviewing Handshake employer profiles to ensure they meet department guidelines • Evaluating job postings and industry trends • Adhere to regulations as set forth by governing agencies and institutional policies. Requirements: • Must be currently enrolled at California Institute of Applied Technology and eligible for Federal Work Study • Must be in good academic standing, which includes a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, GPA 3.0+ preferred • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Independent problem-solver with demonstrated critical thinking skills • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information and interact with students, colleagues, and others • Possess a sincere interest in helping others achieve life goals • Takes a customer-service-oriented approach to collaborate with internal departments • Ability to work collaboratively with others to support student success, achieve CIAT goals and contribute to a positive and inclusive culture • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that respects the diversity of employees and students' backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude • Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to prioritize • Possess high ethical standards, being an example of professionalism to others • Ability to problem solve while maintaining compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to integrity, conduct, and professionalism • Must be able to embody CIAT’s mission, vision and values.
