Experience leading Lean/Six Sigma projects in manufacturing or production environments, strong data-driven decision-making skills, and ability to train and collaborate across teams.
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager will lead the development and implementation of operational excellence initiatives across all areas of the meat processing facility. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, enhancing product quality, reducing waste, and ensuring compliance with food safety and animal welfare standards. The CI Manager will champion a culture of continuous improvement and support cross-functional teams in achieving measurable performance improvements. Key Responsibilities • Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to optimize processes within slaughter, cutting, packing, and logistics operations. • Process Optimization: Identify and implement efficiency gains in yield, throughput, labor utilization, and downtime reduction. • Data-Driven Decision Making: Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify performance gaps and establish key performance indicators (KPIs). • Standardization: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across shifts and sites. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to deliver improvement projects. • Training & Coaching: Build CI capability by training supervisors and operators in Lean principles and problem-solving tools (5S, DMAIC, root cause analysis, etc.). • Cost Reduction & Waste Minimization: Lead initiatives focused on yield improvement, waste reduction, and energy efficiency without compromising product quality or food safety. • Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure all process improvements align with food safety, hygiene, animal welfare, and health & safety regulations. • Project Management: Manage multiple improvement projects, from scoping and data collection through to implementation and post-project review.
