Your Role: Reporting to the Director, State Product Analytics, the Manager, State Product Analytics leads the day-to-day delivery of the State Product Management (SPM) Product insights ecosystem - the AI-enabled insight layer that helps SPM leaders make timely, high-quality decisions for their states. This role manages a team of analysts and is accountable for producing reliable, decision-ready Product performance insights and operationalizing Data Science outputs into usable decision support. The Manager ensures insights are fast to access, easy to interpret, and consistently correct, while advancing automation and responsible AI practices to reduce cycle time and improve decision quality. Working across SPM, Product Development, Actuarial, Data Science, and Technology teams, this leader translates business questions into analytics requirements, drives execution of the insight’s roadmap, and embeds insight products into SPM operating cadences and governance. Your Work: Partner Cross-Functionally to Embed Insights into SPM Decisions Serve as a trusted analytics partner to State Product Managers by translating decision needs into deliverables and embedding insights into SPM operating cadences (planning, performance reviews, initiative governance, test-and-learn loops). Manage analytics intake and prioritization for the team, balancing time sensitivity, decision impact, and enterprise commitments, maintaining a transparent backlog and delivery plan. Align with peers across Actuarial, Product Development, Operations, Distribution, and Finance to support a single, consistent interpretation of Product performance. Lead SPM Product Insight Delivery and Insight Products Lead production and continuous improvement of SPM Product insight products (scorecards, performance narratives, drivers/attribution views, opportunity sizing, decision briefs). Manage recurring performance deliverables (weekly/monthly/quarterly) and ensure on-time, high-quality distribution to SPM and senior stakeholders. Build and maintain self-serve and curated executive views (dashboards and performance packs) that improve speed to insight while preserving governance. Operationalize Data Science Outputs into Decision-Ready Insights Partner with Data Science to translate model outputs (predictive signals, forecasts, optimization outputs, retention/propensity insights, catastrophe/risk signals) into explainable, actionable Product insights. Implement AI-forward insight patterns (early-warning/anomaly detection, scenario exploration, sensitivity analysis, and tradeoff framing) with clear documentation and controls. Drive standard approaches for interpreting and communicating model-driven insights so SPM leaders can act with confidence. Run Insight Quality Establish quality checks and operating procedures that improve accuracy, repeatability, and auditability of Product insights. Identify and resolve data quality issues in partnership with Data Science and business partners; call out systemic issues with clear impact statements. Lead, Coach, and Develop the State Product Analytics Manage and develop a high-performing team, setting expectations for Product acumen, analytical rigor, AI fluency, and executive communication. Coach team members on decision intelligence disciplines (analytics-as-a-product, driver/causal thinking, experimentation support, model interpretation, insight automation). Create an inclusive, collaborative team environment that delivers results with speed and controls. Required Experience, Education and Skills Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience 8+ years Insurance, Actuarial, Product Management, Programming, Data Reporting and Analysis or related business experience 2+ years of people leadership experience, including leading teams through a matrixed environment; experience coaching and developing analysts. Distinguished analytical and structured problem-solving skills, including comfort prioritizing work based on decision impact and time sensitivity, with ability to review and direct analysis Strong communication skills, including executive-ready storytelling, concise decision briefs, and facilitation of alignment discussions. Organizational and planning skills Role-model abilities to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to staff Solid knowledge of HR policies, procedures and regulations Distinguished knowledge of insurance, accounting and rate-making concepts Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic and various structured analysis and design techniques What would make us excited about you? Demonstrated track record delivering Product performance insights that support SPM decision-making (state performance monitoring, trend detection, driver analysis/attribution, opportunity sizing, scenario insights). Experience partnering with Data Science to bring models and data assets into business workflows; ensuring outputs are interpretable, trusted, and used. Experience building scalable reporting and insight delivery using governed BI and cloud data platforms (e.g., Power BI and Snowflake) and strong SQL proficiency. Proven ability to influence stakeholders through insights and storytelling and to drive alignment without formal authority. Strong Product and business knowledge and acumen with the ability to translate SPM decision needs into clear, repeatable insight products. Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance fundamentals. Working understanding of Product performance levers (pricing, underwriting, retention, loss trends, mix, expense) and ability to connect them to actionable insights. Ability to interpret and operationalize Data Science outputs into decision-ready, explainable insights for SPM leaders. Ability to lead through influence and partner effectively across SPM, Product Development, Actuarial, Data Science, Technology, and Operations. Proven people-management skills, including coaching, performance management, and developing team capability.
