Full Description

TEMP to PERMANENT Position Summary The Purchasing & Project Management Assistant supports the efficient operation of Crystal Geyser Water’s production lines by ensuring the timely procurement of raw materials, packaging, and production components, while also assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of facility and production improvement projects. This hybrid role bridges procurement operations with project coordination to maintain smooth manufacturing performance, introduce new products, and support facility upgrades. Key Responsibilities Purchasing Support • Assist with sourcing, ordering, and tracking of raw materials, packaging, and equipment components. • Maintain accurate purchase orders, supplier records, and delivery schedules. • Monitor inventory levels to prevent production delays and avoid overstock. • Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, pricing, and quality issues. • Support cost-saving initiatives by researching competitive suppliers and alternative materials. • Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to coordinate incoming shipments. Project Management Assistance • Assist project managers with scheduling, documentation, and status updates for ongoing projects. • Track project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure alignment with goals. • Prepare project reports, meeting notes, and presentations for internal stakeholders. • Coordinate communication between cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, engineering, QA). • Help implement process improvement initiatives and new product launches. • Maintain organized project files, including contracts, permits, and technical documentation. Qualifications • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, business administration, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or project coordination, preferably in manufacturing. • Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
