Description: The NG-SIEM product team is seeking an experienced UI Engineer with a Quality/Automation focus- who is skilled in technical aspects, collaborative in nature, and deeply passionate about advancing CrowdStrike's NG-SIEM vision.Leverage existing skills in UI engineering to introduce significant new features and enhancements while maintaining the highest standards of quality through comprehensive testing strategies and automationContribute to the development of CrowdStrike's investigation, detection, and prevention technologies within the XDR, endpoint, SIEM, and SOAR marketsBuild and maintain single page web applications written in JavaScript using Ember.jsParticipate in the code review process and take initiative to build tools that improve development experienceDesign and implement comprehensive automated test strategies for code, UI components, and user workflowsConduct exploratory testing using risk-based approaches to identify edge cases and usability issuesBuild and maintain test automation frameworks and tooling for the teamChampion quality initiatives and drive testing best practices across the development processCollaborate with UX Engineers, Cloud Engineers, UX Designers, UX Writers, Technical Writers, User Researchers, QA Analysts, Product Managers, and othersContinually learn about cybersecurity challenges and have fun solving hard problems Requirements: A desire to collaborate closely with users, designers, & testers to deliver quality software that solves problemsA deep understanding of Javascript and considerable experience building thick-client applications with modern frameworks such as Ember, AngularJS, Backbone or React/FluxProven experience designing and implementing comprehensive test automation strategies using modern testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Jest, QUnit, Mocha)Strong foundation in testing methodologies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing approachesExperience developing test automation frameworks and reusable testing utilitiesDemonstrated ability to write high-quality, maintainable test code alongside production codeUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integrationExperience with exploratory testing techniques and manual testing when automation isn't suitableQuality-first mindset with ability to identify potential issues early in the development cycleFunctional knowledge & interest in developing genuinely accessible interfacesStrong HTML & CSS skills, with bonus points for experience with animation, knowledge of approaches to scalable/modular CSS, & preprocessors such as SCSS & LESSFamiliarity with client-side build processes & tools - Grunt, Gulp, Ember CLI etcComfortable with Git/version control workflowsBonus Points: Experience creating or contributing to open source projectsExperience with graphics & visualization tools such as D3 or ThreeJSFamiliarity with client-side build processes and tools (e.g. Ember CLI, Webpack, etc.)Experience with test planning and test case designKnowledge of performance testing and optimization techniquesExperience mentoring other engineers on testing best practicesFamiliarity with accessibility testing tools and methodologiesFamiliarity with websocket and real-time web servicesExperience with UI performance measurement and optimizationExperience with web accessibility testing and supportPrior experience in cybersecurity Benefits: Remote-friendly and flexible work cultureMarket leader in compensation and equity awardsComprehensive physical and mental wellness programsCompetitive vacation and holidays for rechargePaid parental and adoption leavesProfessional development opportunities for all employees regardless of level or roleEmployee Networks, geographic neighborhood groups, and volunteer opportunities to build connectionsVibrant office culture with world class amenitiesGreat Place to Work Certified™ across the globe
