Role Overview: As an ElasticSearch Engineer III on the Data Services team, you will play a critical role in advancing our database systems and data plane services. This hands-on position requires a highly technical engineer passionate about working with ElasticSearch, Opensearch, and Cassandra to optimize performance and scalability. What You'll Do: - You will design, implement, and maintain scalable ElasticSearch and Opensearch clusters to support high-volume data ingestion and querying. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data services infrastructure and improve system reliability. - You will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to database performance, availability, and data integrity. - You will develop automation tools and scripts to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks. - You will participate in capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure optimal system operation. - You will contribute to the design and implementation of new features and enhancements for data services. - You will mentor junior engineers and share best practices within the team. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our data platform. What You Bring: - 5+ years of experience working with ElasticSearch or Opensearch in production environments. - Strong expertise in Cassandra or similar NoSQL databases. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for automation. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). - Solid understanding of distributed systems, data indexing, and search algorithms. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with large-scale data ingestion pipelines and real-time analytics. - Familiarity with security best practices in database management. - Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack. - Prior experience working in a cybersecurity or threat intelligence environment.
