Role Overview: As the Director of Engineering for Sensor Development Tooling, you will lead the strategic development and continuous improvement of the developer tooling infrastructure that supports CrowdStrike's Falcon Sensor engineering teams. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of robust, scalable tools that enhance productivity and innovation across multiple specialized teams. What You'll Do: - You will oversee three specialized engineering teams focused on building and maintaining critical developer tools. - You will develop and execute strategic plans to evolve tooling infrastructure in alignment with organizational goals. - You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and security teams to prioritize and deliver impactful tooling solutions. - You will mentor and grow engineering managers and individual contributors, fostering a high-performance culture. - You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the tooling systems supporting Falcon Sensor development. - You will drive process improvements and adopt best practices to enhance team efficiency and product quality. - You will manage resource allocation, budgeting, and project timelines to meet business objectives. - You will stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously innovate tooling capabilities. What You Bring: - 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing multiple teams. - Strong expertise in developer tooling, infrastructure, and software development lifecycle. - Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and deliver scalable solutions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams. - Experience with cloud-native technologies and cybersecurity domain is highly desirable. - Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing engineering talent. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a fast-paced cybersecurity or SaaS environment. - Familiarity with Falcon Sensor technology or similar endpoint security products. - Background in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling. - Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
