We are seeking an experienced Project Manager 3 to lead a critical initiative integrating credentialing processes into a provider enrollment system. The role requires strong expertise in project management, system integration, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on healthcare and Medicaid enterprise systems. This position is based in Austin, TX. Candidates must currently reside in Texas. Role Overview As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering large-scale IT and business initiatives. The primary assignment will be managing the Provider Enrollment and Management System (PEMS) Plus Credentialing project, which streamlines Medicaid provider enrollment and credentialing. You will work closely with senior leadership, technical teams, vendors, and multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery while meeting critical deadlines, integration requirements, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the PEMS Plus Credentialing project from initiation to completion. • Oversee integration of credentialing applications with provider enrollment systems. • Coordinate project duties with sprint teams and Provider Services leadership. • Develop and maintain integrated project timelines, ensuring alignment with PEMS schedules. • Track deliverables, critical path dependencies, and testing plans. • Facilitate and document key decisions in project governance meetings. • Provide oversight of project staff, ensuring tasks are properly assigned and completed. • Report project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders. • Develop and execute mitigation strategies for identified risks. • Communicate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to drive project success. Minimum Qualifications • 8+ years experience managing large-scale IT projects, including system integration, vendor management, and procurement. • 7+ years working with Medicaid Enterprise Systems (e.g., MMIS). • Strong experience in Medicaid business operations and provider systems. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and coordinate across diverse stakeholder groups. • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook). • Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) from a recognized organization. Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of Texas Medicaid programs and systems. • Experience with provider enrollment systems. • Familiarity with Texas Health & Human Services programs. • Scrum Master certification a plus.
