You'll manage 15 plus Guides who mentor and inspire students while our EdTech platform delivers all curriculum. No traditional teaching. High-impact action. Leadership at its core. What You Will Be Doing • Open Houston's flagship Alpha campus: Execute Alpha's three core commitments for 100 plus students from the start with operational precision across all functions. • Facilitate live workshops for K through 12 students on life skills: Conduct compelling one-hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange. Apply Alpha's established playbook to guarantee students acquire skills overlooked by traditional schools while staying engaged and energized. • Drive every student to 100 percent goal achievement: Develop personalized motivational frameworks for each learner. Apply data-informed strategies to address resistance and maintain engagement with the Alpha platform. Success is defined by every student reaching their objectives. • Develop Guides through targeted coaching: Leverage quantitative and qualitative metrics to pinpoint performance shortfalls. Provide precise, actionable guidance during coaching meetings and monitor progress. Maintain accountability through logic and objectivity, not empathy that lowers standards. • Execute data-informed campus leadership: Evaluate performance across personnel, operations, parent engagement, and school culture. Identify challenges, perform root cause analysis, engage stakeholders, and implement measurable solutions. Document every decision and refine approach based on outcomes. • Uphold excellence without exception: Establish and sustain Alpha's performance expectations for students and staff. Make difficult decisions when results fall below target. Model the standard of excellence across your campus. Basic Requirements School Director key responsibilities • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field. Master's preferred. • Minimum 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field • Proven experience building and leading teams of at least 15 people with complete hiring and firing authority • Comprehensive understanding of the Houston or broader Texas education environment. This familiarity with local student requirements, community context, and competitive school landscape is critical for Alpha's Houston launch. • Experience working with youth ages 5 through 14 • Advanced data analysis capabilities and demonstrated use of metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement • Commitment to education transformation. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
