If that describes your experience, 2 Hour Learning is seeking its chief academic architect. At 2 Hour Learning, we've designed a system in which students achieve learning gains at twice the rate in only two hours per day. AI-driven tutoring, mastery-oriented progression, and a fundamental break from traditional classroom design power these results. The impact is significant. We now need a leader who can harmonize implementation across varied school contexts, elevate standards of academic leadership, and serve as the public face of a movement built on sound learning science. This is not a theoretical academic position. It is a leadership imperative. You will take full accountability for academic strategy as it unfolds, establish precise standards, surface gaps in execution, and mentor high-performing teams toward measurable success. You will convert our scientific foundation into operational rigor and advocate for this model on a global platform. What You Will Be Doing • Developing academic structures that convert learning science principles into actionable guidance for curriculum development, motivational architecture, and application design. • Overseeing academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to guarantee that school teams remain aligned, accountable, and results-focused. • Integrating data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify high-impact obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted solutions. • Ensuring strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on learning objectives. • Serving as the face of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile settings—from keynote presentations to engagements with national education authorities—championing systemic transformation in global education practice. What You Won’t Be Doing • Adjusting individual curriculum elements without influencing broader systemic outcomes. • Producing theoretical research disconnected from measurable student performance or implementation. • Transferring accountability for results to mid-level managers or external advisors. • Depending on institutional prestige or conceptual arguments to convince critical audiences. Head Of Academic Innovation Key Responsibilities Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic framework by unifying implementation across all school sites, raising leadership expectations, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public advocate for a movement founded on rigorous science and demonstrated impact. Basic Requirements • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field • 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes • Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning • Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising • Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar • Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions • Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders Nice-to-have Requirements • Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high-performing EdTech venture • Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts • Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
