The Insuring Specialist is responsible for endorsing all government loans and ensuring that all loans are reviewed and insured within 60 days. This includes paying upfront mortgage insurance and validating government agency guidelines.
Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience in loan processing and insuring, preferably 3-4 years. Knowledge of government agency fees and excellent communication skills are also required.

Position Overview: The Insuring Specialist is responsible for endorsing all government loans, which begins with paying the upfront mortgage insurance on FHA loans, the Funding Fees on all VA loans, and the guaranteed fee on USDA loans. The Insuring Specialist validates all applicable government agency guidelines, including FHA, VA, and USDA. The Insuring Specialist ensures that all loans are reviewed and insured within 60 days. Job Responsibilities: Pay all government fees and record fees paid in Encompass. Review the government required documents in Encompass and ensure the documents meet government agency guidelines in a timely manner. Collaborate with Underwriting and Closing to ensure that files are complete and send complete binders in for FHA loans, uploading complete files to WebLGY and requested documents into USDA LINC for review. Request missing and signed documents to ensure loan file is complete. Prepare and stack the file for shipping when requested. Endorse the loan and upload the insuring certificate and checklist. Review all issues of fees and uninsured loans with insuring manager. Help prepare a monthly report of uninsured loans. Transfer case numbers and appraisals. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience correcting and transferring FHA case numbers. Experience in government websites specifically in their insuring screens. Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in loan processing and insuring, preferred. Knowledge of government agency fees and their individual paying process. Familiarity with the loan process and responsibilities of departments related. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to correct or request required documentation.
