JOB TITLE: Production & Operations Manager DEPARTMENT: Creative, Production, Social Media REPORTS TO: CEO JOB SUMMARY: The Production & Operations Manager will be the central hub that keeps the content engine running smoothly across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and paid fan platforms for Cripes Media. This role owns the day-to-day execution of the content calendar, coordinates production and support with resource management. You will work closely with the founder and the creative team to turn ideas into organized plans, orchestrate plans into shoots, and shoots into consistent, high-quality content. This role combines production management, operations, and administrative support in a small, fast-moving company. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Content and Production Management • Own and maintain the master content calendar across all platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and paid communities. • Plan and manage the weekly production schedule so all deliverables are filmed, edited, and published on time. • Coordinate shoot logistics, including locations, equipment, call times, and run of show. • Track content status from idea to draft, review, edit, and publish to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. • Ensure deadlines for paying fans and subscription platforms are consistently met. • Collaborate with editors, designers, and other creatives to prioritize work and manage timelines. • Team Coordination and Delegation: • Delegate tasks clearly to team members and contractors and follow up to ensure completion. • Lead weekly production and team check-in meetings to set priorities and clarify responsibilities. • Communicate changes to schedules, priorities, or deliverables quickly and clearly. • Act as a point of contact for employees, contractors and external partners. • Operations and Administration: • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks, including email follow-up, scheduling calls and meetings, and managing calendars. • Help create and maintain simple systems and processes for production, file management, and approvals. • Support vendor coordination for production needs, including studios, equipment rentals, and freelance talent when needed. • Quality and Process Improvement: • Identify bottlenecks or recurring issues in production and recommend practical solutions. • Help standardize workflows with templates, checklists, and simple SOPs so the team can move faster and with fewer errors. • Ensure brand voice, quality, and overall standards are consistently reflected in all content. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: • 5+ more years of experience in operations, production management, project management, or a similar role in content, media, or entertainment. • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and deliverables at once. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort coordinating across a range of personalities. • Proven ability to delegate effectively, follow up, and hold others accountable in a supportive way. • Comfort using tools such as Google Workspace, shared drives, and basic project management or task tracking tools. • Experience working with creators, comedians, or small production teams. • Familiarity with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and subscription or fan platforms such as Patreon or similar. • Basic understanding of video and content production workflows, including planning, filming, and editing. • Experience creating or maintaining SOPs, checklists, and production processes. • Someone who likes bringing structure to a creative environment. • Someone proactive, reliable, and follows through. • Someone who enjoys being behind the scenes, making sure everything and everyone is where they need to be. • This role is an office-based role in Milwaukee, WI, and is freelance with the possibility of full-time.
