Why You’ll Love This Role We are looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Sr Engineering Operations Program Manager to build product and engineering operational excellence. Engineering operations includes managing our annual planning process, tracking budgets, managing progress to MBOs, coordinating executive reviews and improving the team cohesion in the product and engineering department.. The role requires managing program schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to program stakeholders. You will be a key contributor to the success of the Product and Engineering teams and help shape the future of the engineering operations at Cribl. This role reports to the Head of Technical Program Management. As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will… Bring 5+ years of operational planning and execution experience working with software development teams Have experience delivering complex programs or solutions that span different groups within an organization Bring excellent verbal and written skills and ability to present to all levels in an organization and experience influencing senior leadership and technical teams to develop systems, solutions, and products. Be equally at home explaining your analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the trade-offs in operations with engineers. Have analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems. Bring adaptability and willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones – you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours If You’ve Got It - We Want It Strategic planning: Support the engineering and product leadership team to develop, refine, and implement the organization’s strategic plan. Lead cross-functional teams to plan, define and then track resource requirements (headcount and budget) as inputs to finance. Operational Excellence: Oversee and optimize the daily operations of the engineering organization, including resource management, budgeting, and process improvement. Drive operational excellence by identifying inefficiencies, implementing best practices, and ensuring consistency across teams. Process Improvement: identify opportunities to automate, optimize, and refine processes to help Cribl scale operationally as we continue to expand the scope of our products and the size of our customer base Strategic Projects: Lead and direct large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with significant impact on the organization. Anticipate challenges and remove obstacles to enable team success. Lead and manage high-visibility special projects as needed Drive Change: Be a change advocate responsible for initiating and leading multiple organizations through pivots needed to address shifts in business trends and priorities. Decision Support: Influence key decisions working cross-functionally across engineering, operations, finance, and strategy and other teams to reach the right conclusions. Track progress: Define KPIs and other methods to measure metrics that best translate progress towards goals. Communication & Coordination: Develop methods for ongoing communication of the strategic vision, plan, and progress to goals to the product and engineering department. Salary Range ($95,400 - $149,000) The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
