Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Job description: Crews Chemicals is a privately-owned business located in Rome, GA. We manufacture industrial cleaning chemicals as well as provide the service to clean manufacturing facilities. We have a position available for a motivated, self-driven individual acting as an Operator for our production facility in Rome. This person would report to the Plant Manager. This person would be responsible for manufacturing products, receiving and shipping, performing quality inspections, assisting in maintenance projects and ensuring our production environment is clean and well-maintained. JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES • Mixing/Blending of raw materials • Complete and check paperwork, batch tickets and daily logs • Filling and Labeling Bulk and semi-bulk containers • Work with mechanical equipment, pumps and valves • Troubleshooting equipment. • Loading/Unloading material. • Pull orders according to the bill of lading, product code and lot number. • Complete all necessary paperwork for shipping and receiving. • Load trucks. • Rotate product when new product is received. • Operate forklift according to OSHA rules and Crews Chemicals standards. ENVIRONMENT The work environment includes working near moving mechanical parts, caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, work in high or precarious places. QUALIFICATIONS • Plant experience in batch operations is preferred. • Forklift experience is preferred. • Familiar with process flow diagrams • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team.
