Position Summary Position: Managing Director, Client Service Director Reports to: Executive Managing Director, Rosewood Family Advisors Location: Palo Alto or San Francisco Employment Type: Full Time Job Description The Client Service Director will serve as a dedicated client-facing partner supporting a primary Principal and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients utilizing Accounting, Tax, Philanthropy, Wealth Strategy, Payroll Services, and other Family Office Services. This role will partner closely with the Executive Managing Director, Rosewood Family Advisors (the “Principal”) to help execute client service delivery, manage day-to-day client relationships, and ensure a seamless, high-quality client experience across these service areas. Over the first 2–3 years, the Client Service Director will work closely with the Principal to learn the firm’s service model, deepen technical and client relationship expertise, and gradually assume increased ownership of client relationships. Upon successful progression, this role is expected to transition into a primary Client Service Director position. This role is ideal for a highly organized, client-centric professional who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment, enjoys operating at both strategic and tactical levels, and is motivated by a long-term leadership trajectory within the business. Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management Partner closely with the Principal to manage client service delivery, meeting preparation, follow-ups, and ongoing relationship needs. Participate in client meetings, capture action items, and ensure timely execution of agreed-upon deliverables. Serve as a consistent point of contact for clients, building trust through responsiveness, organization, and attention to detail. Help anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities to enhance service or deepen relationships. Service Coordination & Delivery Coordinate with internal teams across Accounting, Tax, Philanthropy, Wealth Strategy, Payroll, and other Family Office Services to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality service delivery. Oversee the onboarding of new clients, managing timelines, documentation, and expectations. Monitor scope, service usage, and deliverables, escalating issues as needed. Translate complex functional concepts into clear updates for clients and internal stakeholders. Support the preparation of client-facing materials, summaries, and reports. Identify inefficiencies or recurring issues in service delivery and collaborate with the Principal and team leads to improve processes. Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate records of client interactions, requests, and deliverables in accordance with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards. Coordinate with Compliance or Legal teams on any specialized or high-risk client scenarios. Ensure all marketing and communication materials adhere to regulatory guidelines. QualificationsQualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, JD) is a plus. CPA is preferred. Experience: 10+ years of experience in family office services (including tax, accounting, estate planning). Proven track record of relationship building and client service excellence. Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal); comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and clients. Strong organizational abilities; able to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Collaborative mindset; thrives in cross-functional environments and excels at stakeholder coordination. Problem-solving orientation with a proactive, results-driven approach. Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location.
