Design and implement feedback systems and tools to enhance communication and trust within a nonprofit organization.
Experience in designing feedback mechanisms, understanding of organizational culture, and ability to collaborate with leadership.
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. Creshendo is seeking an HR-minded volunteer to help us design a simple, effective, and human-centered feedback system. We’re a fully volunteer-run nonprofit working across 12+ countries. Our culture is rooted in care, collaboration, and trust — but we still need tools that help our team give and receive feedback well. You’ll help us co-create two tools: 1. A quarterly feedback method for team leads to use with their direct reports (non-anonymous) 2. A lightweight org-wide survey to gather input across teams (anonymous, small set of key questions) We’d love your help designing the structure, timeline, and format for these two feedback flows. We’re also considering adding optional self-evaluation and volunteer time tracking to support accountability without micromanagement. This project will help us shift from ad hoc check-ins to intentional rhythms of growth and dialogue. Creshendo is a global nonprofit building bold, community-rooted programs with migrants and displaced people. Our internal team spans seven departments and 50+ volunteers — and our ability to collaborate well depends on clear communication, trust, and aligned expectations. By helping us implement a lightweight, replicable feedback system, you’ll increase our effectiveness, prevent burnout, and ensure every voice in the organization — from leadership to frontline — has a channel to be heard. You’ll work directly with our Executive Director and HR Lead to understand our team structure, culture, and current challenges. We’ll share our org chart, team norms, and goals for the system — and we’re happy to test lightweight drafts to iterate quickly. We want tools that work, not just look good on paper. You’ll have full support and fast turnaround on input. Creshendo Mission: Creshendo’s mission is to empower displaced populations by fostering their integration and self-reliance. Through specialized programs and support services, we equip them with the tools, knowledge, and resources to navigate new environments, advocate for their needs, and achieve their aspirations.
