Location: Shelton, CT Salary: $130–150K + Bonus The Controller will lead the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, forward-looking analysis, and proactive support of business growth. As a key member of the leadership team, this individual will serve as a strategic advisor to the Executive Team, helping to shape decisions that drive long-term success. Why This Controller Opportunity? • Chance to automate processes and directly influence broader business decisions • National and international presence — business across all 50 states and expanding globally • Unique bonus structure tied to self-set goals and expense-reduction initiatives • Established, growing organization with 36 years in business and an upcoming acquisition on the horizon • Strong team culture with remarkable tenure — many employees have been with the company 15–20+ years • Family-style environment that values career development and celebrates wins (weekend vacations for families, dinner deliveries, and more) • Comprehensive benefits: 401k with company match and generous PTO (moving toward unlimited in 2027; quarterly PTO check-ins to encourage time off) Key Responsibilities • Oversee all financial activity including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgeting, tax compliance, financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. • Develop forward-looking financial plans, performance measurements, and recommendations for business policy and resource allocation. • Advise the Executive Team on financial performance trends and strategic implications. • Participate in senior leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions as a trusted advisor. • Oversee sales compensation programs, purchasing and inventory control, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and payroll administration. • Manage relationships with distributors, banks, and external accounting firms. • Lead the year-end audit/review process. • Create, implement, and update financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency. • Drive process improvements and maximize efficiency across the finance department and broader organization. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CPA preferred • 5+ years of senior-level management experience • Experience managing multi-P&L operations • Proven ability to design and implement financial processes • Hands-on experience migrating to a new financial software package; strong ERP skills a must #INSEP2025 #CBSEP2025 #ZRCFS
