Full Description

Our retail client is looking for a Sponsorship Manager to join their centralized marketing team. This is a full-time, direct-hire position. The team is onsite four days per week in Portland (Monday-Thursday) and remote one day per week. This role will lead the centralization and strategic development of sponsorships across the enterprise, including partnerships with professional sports teams. You'll work closely with a sports marketing agency, internal stakeholders, and external partners to assess sponsorship value, align messaging, and drive meaningful brand activations. Role Overview • Lead the development and execution of a centralized sponsorship strategy across divisions and sports teams • Collaborate with a sports marketing agency to evaluate team packages and maximize ROI • Partner with campaign management, merchandising, and customer communications teams to activate sponsorships across channels • Align sponsorship messaging and assets with brand strategy and contractual commitments • Present sponsorship performance, innovations, and recommendations to senior leadership • Work closely with sourcing on business requirements and contract alignment • Develop playbooks and toolkits to standardize sponsorship execution and asset management • Engage directly with external sports teams and internal stakeholders, including divisional presidents and VPs of marketing Ideal Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in sports sponsorships, media planning/buying, or agency-side partnerships • Experience working with or for sports teams, sports marketing agencies, or brands with sponsorship programs • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills • Proven ability to navigate complex, politically sensitive environments • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with executive audiences • Comfortable building structure in a newly formed team and evolving program • Bonus: Experience in retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG) In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
