We are seeking a REMOTE Digital Community Coordinator. This is a freelance assignment that will vary in hours based on workload but is anticipated to be about 13 hours per week, ongoing. The Digital Community Coordinator will engage with our customers and fans across multiple online and social platforms. This role will help contribute to a vibrant and inclusive community atmosphere. As the voice of multiple brands in the digital space, the Digital Community Coordinator will actively manage conversations, respond to customer comments, messages, and reviews across social media platforms as well as review sites. The ideal Digital Community Coordinator has the ability to connect authentically and help strengthen customer relationships, amplify brand loyalty, and foster a welcoming, engaging environment for all community members. This position combines social media expertise, customer care, and creative storytelling. Familiarity with social media analytics, community management tools, and creative platforms is also highly valued. Digital Community Coordinator Responsibilities • Monitor and moderate live online conversations, comments, messages, and reviews across social platforms. • Respond to customer comments, messages, and reviews across social media and review sites (Google My Business, Yelp, etc.). • Maintain a consistent response rate by replying to customer inquiries and feedback in a timely and professional manner. • Initiate and engage with the community, sparking discussion on social networking sites. • Represent multiple brand consistently by using the appropriate voice, tone, and language. • Apply engagement strategies that align with brand(s) vision and guidelines. • Handle negative feedback or crises professionally, ensuring thoughtful and effective resolution. • Help ensure all content aligns with brand(s) guidelines and maintains a consistent identity and tone. - Contribute creative ideas that enhance engagement and storytelling across platforms. • Maintain a catalog of assignments, monitor workflows, and support timely delivery of projects. • Track and report on engagement metrics, customer inquiries, and online reputation management. • Provide insights that inform strategy and highlight opportunities for improvement. • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging platforms, and creative best practices. • Monitor competitor activity to identify opportunities for differentiation. - Share findings that help keep the brand(s) at the forefront of innovation and community engagement. • Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, brand, product) to align community engagement with broader objectives. - Collaborate with agency partners and maintain clear workflows. • Present ideas, strategies, and insights to internal stakeholders, effectively communicating the rationale behind proposals. Digital Community Coordinator Qualifications • Pursuing or completed Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media, Journalism, Advertising, or a related field. • Strong understanding of major platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Google My Business, Yelp). • Proven experience in fostering community interaction and managing online conversations. • Passion for customer experience, care, and satisfaction. • Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with community members and handling inquiries. • Ability to professionally manage negative feedback and online crises. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience with social media management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Dash Hudson, Hootsuite) and analytics tools. • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), or similar creative tools is a plus. • Certifications in social media management, digital marketing, or community management are a plus. • Strong project organization and cataloging abilities.
