10+ years in client operations or project management in an agency setting with strong budget, vendor, and staffing management experience.
Our Agency client is looking for a freelance Client Operations Manager to support during an upcoming leave. This is a remote role working 40 hrs/week starting asap through Nov 2025. A computer will be provided. The Client Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing client operations, ensuring that client needs are met effectively and efficiently. This role involves business management, finance reviews, onboarding and training, and client communications. Key Responsibilities • Partnering Client Lead with annual scope development and custom scope enhancements • Monitor staff allocation and budgets, flagging changes in scope that affect resourcing and recommends action in partnership with Client Leads • Manages scopes and process to ensure team is both funded and reports at 90% billable • Explore new roles or ways of working to meet client needs • Plan and lead weekly meetings to discuss present and future issues/updates • Support developing and contributing to QBRs • Work closely with New Business lead on RFI/RFP responses to identify needs or resources, as well as determining appropriate allocation, budgets and staff recommendations • Onboard new team members and Clients • Participate in Client process changes to share ownership of implementation • Optimize funding/utilization based on monthly reports • Provide monthly financial updates Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in client operations, project management, or a similar role. • Experience in an agency setting required. • Budget, reconciliation and vendor management experience required. • Resourcing and staffing management experience required • Ability to create and manage to an estimate, mitigating financial risk • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills • Strong leadership and communication abilities In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
