Overview Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our fast-paced warehouse environment! In this energetic role, you will operate various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to efficiently load, unload, and organize materials. Your expertise in warehouse distribution and materials handling will ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations while maintaining safety standards. Duties • Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, order pickers, cranes, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments. • Conduct accurate order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently. • Handle materials with precision using pallet jacks, heavy lifting techniques, and appropriate safety protocols. • Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation. • Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and mechanical safety requirements. • Support warehouse management by organizing inventory, stacking pallets, and maintaining a clean work environment. • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate large-scale material movements and optimize workflow. Experience • Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or similar machinery in a warehouse or construction setting. • Strong background in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving processes, and materials handling. • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and OSHA safety regulations. • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. • Prior experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership is a plus but not required. • Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques, pallet jack operation, and construction-related material handling is advantageous. • Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols.
