Our client, a multi-office litigation firm with a strong national presence, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day functions across finance, HR, and administration. This is a high-impact, executive-level role supporting the firm’s partners and staff across five locations, including Portland, LA, New York, Boston, and Seattle. You’ll serve as the operational right hand to the firm’s leadership team — managing billing and finance processes, streamlining HR functions, and building firmwide consistency from the ground up. What You’ll Do Own billing operations — invoice generation, collections, and e-billing oversight Manage financial functions: accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting Liaise with external CPA and bookkeeper on tax prep and reporting Administer payroll, 401(k), and benefits via ADP Handle recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, and compliance (including CLE tracking) Oversee vendor relationships, firm insurance policies, and firmwide overhead Collaborate directly with the three partners in bi-monthly strategic meetings Lead cross-office projects including process improvements, surveys, and system upgrades What You Bring 5–10+ years in operations, finance, or administration within a law firm Strong billing and finance experience (especially with e-billing systems) Familiarity with Practice Panther or similar legal software (bonus: SharePoint knowledge) Proven ability to manage payroll, HR compliance, and vendor contracts Strategic mindset — proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented Confident communicator who thrives in high-visibility, autonomous roles Why This Role?
