Full Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC (BIESSE) machines—including lathes and milling centers—to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential in delivering high-quality parts efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes while working with advanced equipment such as Fanuc controls, coordinate measuring machines, and precision measuring instruments. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about precision machining, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities • Operate CNC machinery including lathes and milling machines with proficiency in Fanuc or similar control systems. • Program CNC machines using CAM software and manual G-code adjustments to optimize production runs. • Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing. • Set up tooling, fixtures, and machining parameters to produce parts within tight tolerances using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. • Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. • Utilize electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques when required for intricate or hard metal parts. • Maintain a clean, safe workspace adhering to lean manufacturing principles and safety standards including proper use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklifts. • Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications. • Document production activities accurately through shift reports and logs for traceability. Skills • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code. • Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or similar for part design review. • Proficiency in blueprint reading with a solid understanding of GD&T principles. • Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding when applicable. • Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques for complex part fabrication. • Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). • Knowledge of CNC lathe and CNC milling machine operations using Fanuc controls or equivalent systems. • Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during setup and inspection. • Experience with tooling selection, setup, and maintenance for various machining operations. • Ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation when needed. • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles aimed at continuous improvement and waste reduction. Join our team as a CNC Machinist where your technical expertise will drive the creation of high-quality components in a collaborative environment that values precision craftsmanship! Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • Paid time off Work Location: In person
