Defined Benefit / Cash Balance Plan Administrator • This position is 100% remote. The location was added to increase visibility on job boards* CPS, Inc., specialists in Retirement industry recruiting, is recruiting for the below position with an established TPA that is growing through acquisition of other TPAs. TPA is looking for an experienced Defined Benefit/Cash Balance Plan Administrator who brings both technical expertise and genuine enthusiasm for retirement plan work. If you enjoy solving complex problems, digging into regulations, and delivering exceptional client service, we’d love to meet you. As a key member of the team, you’ll support plan sponsors throughout the full lifecycle of their retirement plans—from initial design through annual valuations, compliance testing, 5500 filing, and plan termination. The company blends a traditional, personal approach to client service with modern technology that simplifies processes and allows you to focus on thoughtful, meaningful work. What You’ll Do • Prepare and review annual valuation reports for DB, CB, and combination plans • Conduct compliance and nondiscrimination testing; prepare and review IRS filings • Calculate minimum, recommended, and maximum contributions and help clients understand funding impacts • Serve as a primary contact for clients, CPAs, and financial advisors • Review plan amendments and oversee all aspects of plan terminations, including PBGC coordination • Collaborate with internal teams on proposals and conduct research on complex technical issues What You Bring • 5+ years of experience with small-plan DB/CB administration • Familiarity with PensionPro, DATAIR, or ftwilliam preferred • Strong communication skills and comfort managing client relationships • Ability to balance multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail • ASPPA/NIPA credentials or interest in pursuing them What The Company Offers Competitive compensation, employer-paid health insurance, generous PTO, paid continuing education, a profit sharing plan, and a supportive environment that values work life balance.
