Job Description: Tax & Operations Associate We are a small, growing South Florida CPA firm and seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Tax & Operations Associate. This is a hybrid , remote role that will combine tax preparation and practice management functions. Ideal for someone who wants exposure to firm management, has a builder’s mindset, thrives in environments where they can influence how work gets done – to get skills that prepare them for future leadership roles. Key Responsibilities – Workflow Automation: · Migrate current internal processes into TaxDome (or similar platforms) · Build and maintain automated workflows, templates, pipelines, tasks, and client organizers · Support data imports, cleanup, and standardization across systems · Test new workflows and refine processes for efficiency, accuracy, and usability Key Responsibilities – Tax Preparation: · Assist in collecting, organizing, and verifying client tax documentation · Prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and/or businesses · Track tax return status, manage deadlines and offer ad hoc support to management throughout tax season Key Responsibilities – Accounting Support · Assist in preparing financial dashboards, KPIs, and pipeline reports for the firm · Compile and analyze revenue, expense, and profitability data by client Qualifications – Required · Prior experience with tax return preparation (business and individual) in a tech savvy environment · Strong proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks · High technical aptitude with interest in automation · Strong attention to detail with financial data · Excellent communication and organizational skills · Self - starter mindset · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Tax · CPA/EA candidates is a plus Qualifications – Preferred · Experience with TaxDome, Canopy, Karbon, or similar workflow tools · Exposure to FP&A, reporting, or operations management · Familiarity with Zapier, Make, or other automation tools
