Overview Join our dynamic team as a TAX SEASON ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT and be a vital part of our busy tax preparation environment! This energetic role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and enjoy providing exceptional administrative and customer support. During the tax season, you'll help ensure smooth operations by managing clerical tasks, assisting clients, and supporting our tax professionals. This temporary position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable office experience while contributing to a vital service that helps individuals and families navigate their financial responsibilities with confidence. Parents "following the bus" are encouraged to apply and will work with your schedule. Responsibilities • Greet clients at the front desk with enthusiasm, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures • Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls efficiently • Handle data entry tasks using Microsoft Office and tax software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of client information • Organize and maintain filing systems, both physical and digital, for client documents and tax records • Assist with appointment scheduling and calendar management to coordinate client meetings and staff availability • Provide clerical support including copying, scanning, proofreading forms, and preparing correspondence as needed Skills • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment • Previous office or administrative experience, ideally within a professional setting such as accounting firm or personal assistant roles • Exceptional phone etiquette with experience managing multi-line phone systems and providing customer support • Familiarity with QuickBooks or bookkeeping experience is a plus for handling financial documentation • Attention to detail for proofreading documents, data entry accuracy, and filing systems management • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak periods of the tax season This position is paid and offers an engaging work environment where your organizational talents will shine.
