Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary The Skandalaris Center Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating administrative responsibilities and providing assistance across communications, events, and venture development. The Skandalaris Center mission is to foster and empower an inclusive community that finds opportunities in problems and transforms ideas into action and to build an ecosystem of education, research, and resources that engages all WashU students, faculty, alumni, and staff as entrepreneurial leaders and collaborators. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Write memos and briefs on Skandalaris initiatives on behalf of the communications and leadership team. Draft blog articles and stories for newsletters and outgoing communications for the Center. Seek out proactive storytelling opportunities for the Center. Provide communications and events support for the office. Act as liaison to campus and community partners. Assist with set up for programs and events. Update website/events/calendars as needed and ensure website functionality. Maintain CRM and other databases. Help manage events such as workshops, trainings, and related programming. Coordinate logistics and attend events to prevent issues and ensure smooth implementation. Engage a diverse audience in programming, bringing students and faculty from all disciplines to the Center. Actively track metrics and analyze demand/satisfaction/outcomes associated with Skandalaris Center initiatives; and assist with custom surveys. Input data, update records, run reports, in coordination with WUSTL colleagues. Performs other duties as assigned. More About This Job Preferred Qualifications: Interest and experience in the entrepreneurship space a strong plus. Comfort with utilizing new technologies as appropriate (Box, Wordpress/Formidable, WebEx, Google Forms, etc.); and making recommendations for adding/changing technology use as needed. Able to work well with a wide variety of stakeholders (students, post-docs, faculty, researchers, staff, alumni and community members). Previous WashU work experience a plus. Experience with website maintenance a plus. Note: Many Skandalaris events and programs are held in the evenings and on weekends, thereby requiring hours/activities outside the normal work-day as needed. Work will be conducted at both the Danforth and Medical School campuses and occasionally off-campus.
