Role Overview: As a Water Resources Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and managing water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible engineering solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements. What You'll Do: - You will design and develop water and wastewater treatment systems and infrastructure. - You will prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates. - You will conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support project designs. - You will collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project compliance and success. - You will manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation to meet deadlines. - You will perform site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality. - You will assist in proposal development and client presentations. - You will stay current with industry standards, technologies, and regulations. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in water or wastewater design engineering. - Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM). - Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and regulations. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 1-2 years. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with municipal and regional water resource projects. - Familiarity with environmental permitting and compliance. - Project management experience. - Advanced degrees or certifications related to water resources.
