Job Title: Water Resources Design Engineer (Water or Wastewater) Company Overview: CP Engineers, Architecture & Environmental Services is a well-established engineering firm with over forty years of experience delivering innovative solutions across site/civil, water/wastewater, municipal, MEP, and environmental engineering sectors. We pride ourselves on building long-term partnerships with private, municipal, county, and regional clients, providing expert services that meet evolving community and environmental needs. Role Overview: As a Water Resources Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and managing water and wastewater projects that support sustainable infrastructure development. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient, compliant, and cost-effective engineering solutions that address client and regulatory requirements. What You'll Do: - You will design and develop water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through completion. - You will prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates. - You will conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support project design and regulatory compliance. - You will collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project goals are met. - You will manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation to maintain quality and efficiency. - You will assist in the preparation of permit applications and environmental impact assessments. - You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. - You will stay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in water or wastewater engineering design. - Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar. - Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal water/wastewater regulations. - Excellent communication and project management skills. - Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D. - Familiarity with stormwater management and green infrastructure design. - Experience working with municipal clients and regulatory agencies. - Advanced degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
