Job Title: Water Resources Design Engineer (Water or Wastewater) Company Overview: CP Engineers, Architecture & Environmental Services is a well-established engineering firm with over forty years of experience delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. Role Overview: As a Water Resources Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and managing water and wastewater projects that support community infrastructure and environmental sustainability. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient, compliant, and cost-effective engineering solutions. What You'll Do: - You will design and develop water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through completion. - You will prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates. - You will conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support project design and analysis. - You will collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project compliance and success. - You will manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation to meet deadlines. - You will perform site inspections and provide technical support during construction phases. - You will contribute to proposal development and business growth initiatives. - You will stay current with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in water or wastewater engineering design. - Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM). - Strong knowledge of water resources engineering principles and regulatory requirements. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with municipal water and wastewater systems design. - Familiarity with environmental permitting and compliance processes. - Project management experience. - Advanced degrees or certifications related to water resources.
