Job Title: Water Resources Design Engineer (Water or Wastewater) Company Overview: CP Engineers, Architecture & Environmental Services is a well-established engineering firm with over forty years of experience delivering innovative solutions across site/civil, water/wastewater, municipal, MEP, and environmental engineering sectors. Role Overview: As a Water Resources Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and managing water and wastewater projects that meet regulatory standards and client needs. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative engineering solutions that support community health and environmental sustainability. What You'll Do: - You will design and develop water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through completion. - You will prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates. - You will conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support project design and regulatory compliance. - You will collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met. - You will manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation to ensure timely delivery. - You will perform site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality. - You will assist in the preparation of permit applications and environmental impact assessments. - You will stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in water or wastewater engineering design. - Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar. - Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with municipal and regional water resource projects. - Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes. - Project management experience including budgeting and client relations. - Advanced skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.
