Role Overview: As the Group Manager of Municipal Engineering, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for delivering municipal engineering projects that meet client needs and regulatory standards. You will play a key role in project management, client relations, and technical oversight to ensure successful project delivery and team development. What You'll Do: - You will manage and mentor a team of municipal engineers, fostering professional growth and collaboration. - You will oversee the planning, design, and execution of municipal engineering projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. - You will develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. - You will coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project goals and deadlines. - You will lead proposal development and participate in business development activities to expand the municipal engineering portfolio. - You will ensure quality control and risk management practices are implemented across all projects. - You will stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to guide the team effectively. What You Bring: - A minimum of 8 years of experience in municipal engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. - Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. - Strong project management skills, including experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and lead teams. - Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management tools. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with municipal, county, or regional government clients. - Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainable engineering practices. - Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or related field. - Experience in business development and proposal writing.
