The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $100,000.00. Job Description The Director of Regional Sales is responsible for leading a customer focused team to drive new sales and overall account growth that aligns with Regional and Company objectives, by executing on the strategy set by the AVP/VP Regional. The Director of Regional Sales will be assigned geographical areas of direct reports. The Regional Sales team is responsible for managing and growing existing accounts, as well as identifying and developing new accounts across all Fleet Sales opportunities. The Regional Sales team will ensure they achieve ambitious sales targets, expand market share, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The Director of Regional Sales will typically be responsible for 10+ direct reports and their team's sales goals, as well as proper recruiting, training, mentoring and performance management. What You’ll Do Play a leadership role in creating a culture of performance and success, with ongoing business and goal achievement. Own and exceed sales targets for personal and team quotas. Provide daily leadership to our Regional Sales Executives to ensure that all regional objectives are being met. Develop regular action plans with direct reports to improve sales performance. Provides direct support as needed to sales staff through participation in sales calls or other related activities. Coach sales staff to enhance their effectiveness, holds them accountable for results. Negotiate deals directly and close deals as required. Coordinate with National Account Sales Exec to align sales efforts with operations and revenue realization plans. Partner with cross functional business teams to ensure sales embraces pragmatic analytic solutions. Recruits, hires, and develops sales team. Utilizes CRM tool daily to monitor sales results and ensures Regional Sales Executives are compliant in its usage and using the tool effectively. Manage the sales teams, operations, and resources to deliver profitable growth. Assess current sales methodologies, team structure, and propose/implement necessary adjustments to optimize performance. Oversee the development of infrastructure and initiatives needed to facilitate aggressive growth and internal collaboration. Lead operational and strategic efforts to increase the solution’s customer base, customer loyalty, revenue per customer and top-line financial growth for the business. Ability to lead and build an environment based on strategic selling. Ability to understand the impact of operational initiatives from a sales or marketing person's perspective. Ability to prepare reports and use of appropriate mode of communication. Must be proficient at analyzing data, building reporting and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends. Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines. Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems. Ability to build and execute territory plans. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years’ experience in a related field; or 14 years’ experience in a related field. 5+ years’ experience in a people leader role. Travel required: up to 80% Preferred: Previous experience as a field sales executive, sales manager, or sales director. Proficient with Salesforce and Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal presentation and written communications skills. Negotiation, Pre-Call Sales Planning, creativity, and problem solving. Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required time frames to meet business requirements. Client Relationship Skills.
