Our client is seeking an experienced Benefits Account Manager to support small to mid-market employer clients. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of employee benefits programs, including renewals, client service, carrier relationships, and ongoing account support. The ideal candidate brings a consultative mindset, strong technical benefits knowledge, and a proven ability to manage multiple client relationships. Responsibilities • Manage a book of small to mid-market benefits clients, serving as the primary point of contact • Support annual renewal processes, including data collection, carrier negotiations, plan analysis, and client presentations • Coordinate enrollment meetings, open enrollment materials, and employee communications • Partner with producers and internal teams to deliver proactive, high-quality client service • Handle day-to-day service needs including eligibility changes, claims support, billing issues, and policy administration • Prepare and review plan documents, benefit summaries, and compliance-related materials • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system-EPIC • Communicate directly with insurance carriers to resolve issues and negotiate coverage and pricing • Identify opportunities for plan improvements, cost containment, and additional benefit offerings • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Qualifications • 5+ years of experience as a Benefits Account Manager within an insurance brokerage or agency • Demonstrated experience managing small to mid-market employer accounts • Strong knowledge of employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits • Active Life & Health insurance license • Experience with agency management systems -EPIC • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to clients virtually • Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail • Comfortable working independently 100% remote • Client-focused, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
