Part-Time Plumbing Career Coach (Flexible, Paid Workshops + Upside) About CourseCareers CourseCareers is an online education platform that helps people launch new careers without a college degree or prior experience. We work with industry professionals to create job-focused courses that teach practical, employer-aligned skills in technology, business, and the skilled trades. Our students are career changers looking for realistic, entry-level opportunities — and coaching helps bridge the gap between coursework and landing the job. About the Role We’re looking for a part-time Plumbing Career Coach to support students through live workshops and optional 1:1 coaching. This is not a traditional employment role and not a guaranteed-income position. It’s a flexible, paid opportunity best suited for experienced plumbers who enjoy mentoring, teaching, and helping others break into the trade — with upside if students choose to work with you. How This Role Actually Works You host a live, one-hour workshop (seminar-style) for students You are paid $50 per workshop, plus any private coaching business you acquire You may receive exclusive coaching opportunities based on performance and engagement Workshops are used to provide value, answer questions, and showcase your real-world experience If students choose to book you for 1:1 coaching, you keep the coaching revenue You set your own availability and working hours There is no requirement to convert students — workshops are paid regardless — but conversion is where the upside comes from. Responsibilities Host a live, one-hour workshop on a monthly basis Answer student questions about plumbing careers and the job search Share real-world insight into what entry-level plumbing roles and apprenticeships actually look like Provide optional 1:1 coaching to students who request it What We’re Looking For 3+ years of professional plumbing experience (residential, commercial, or service work) Interest in mentoring and helping career changers enter the trades Strong communication and teaching ability Availability at least three evenings per week, ideally Tuesday–Thursday Self-starter mindset — comfortable leading workshops independently Ideal Fit This role is a great fit if you: Enjoy teaching and mentoring Want flexible, side income Like the idea of being paid to teach — with optional upside Don’t need guaranteed hours or full-time income Compensation $50 per one-hour workshop (One per month guaranteed) Unlimited upside from 1:1 coaching sessions you convert No caps, no quotas, no minimums
