Part-Time Plumbing Career Coach (Flexible, Paid Workshops + Upside) About CourseCareers CourseCareers is an online education platform that helps people launch new careers without a college degree or prior experience. We work with industry professionals to create job-focused courses that teach practical, employer-aligned skills in technology, business, and the skilled trades. Our students are career changers looking for realistic, entry-level opportunities — and coaching helps bridge the gap between coursework and landing the job. About the Role We’re looking for a part-time Plumbing Career Coach to support students through live workshops and optional 1:1 coaching. This is not a traditional employment role and not a guaranteed-income position. It’s a flexible, paid opportunity best suited for experienced plumbers who enjoy mentoring, teaching, and helping others break into the trade — with upside if students choose to work with you. How This Role Actually Works • You host a live, one-hour workshop (seminar-style) for students • You are paid $50 per workshop, plus any private coaching business you acquire • You may receive exclusive coaching opportunities based on performance and engagement • Workshops are used to provide value, answer questions, and showcase your real-world experience • If students choose to book you for 1:1 coaching, you keep the coaching revenue • You set your own availability and working hours There is no requirement to convert students — workshops are paid regardless — but conversion is where the upside comes from. Responsibilities • Host a live, one-hour workshop on a monthly basis • Answer student questions about plumbing careers and the job search • Share real-world insight into what entry-level plumbing roles and apprenticeships actually look like • Provide optional 1:1 coaching to students who request it What We’re Looking For • 3+ years of professional plumbing experience (residential, commercial, or service work) • Interest in mentoring and helping career changers enter the trades • Strong communication and teaching ability • Availability at least three evenings per week, ideally Tuesday–Thursday • Self-starter mindset — comfortable leading workshops independently Ideal Fit This role is a great fit if you: • Enjoy teaching and mentoring • Want flexible, side income • Like the idea of being paid to teach — with optional upside • Don’t need guaranteed hours or full-time income Compensation • $50 per one-hour workshop (One per month guaranteed) • Unlimited upside from 1:1 coaching sessions you convert • No caps, no quotas, no minimums
